"Barn at Kirby Farms" ©jjoynocifora - Plein Air Memphis had a paint out this past Saturday. This is a wonderful property just inside Germantown, TN. It has been sold and will probably be developed as commercial property. We are fortunate to have permission to paint here until the end of April. In addition to this barn, there are two others and a Victorian House with oodles of gingerbread trim.

This is so lovely. I really loved Tennessee when we were there a few years ago in the Smokey's.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it sad when old properties like that get changed into commercial businesses? I know that growth happens and is often necessary, but classic old farmsteads like these are such a gem to have around. I hope they don't disappear altogether and become a thing of the past.
