"White Roses and Eucalyptus" SOLD

SOLD

The painting above on the left was done in Nancy Franke's workshop using the setup on the right.
I seemed to have gotten the roses much cooler and the roses look warmer in the setup photo. Elizabeth Robbins where are you?
Perhaps I will try and paint them again with warmer tones.
Kathy Cousart and Denise Rose did a fabulous painting of these roses too. It is always interesting to see how differently each artist paints the same composition! Still remembering the great fun and learning we all had in Atlanta in Nancy Franke's workshop!

The above painting, "White Roses and Eucalyptus," is an 11 x 14, oil on museum quality canvas by J Joy Nocifora ©2011

  1. This is beautiful and more so in person. You did an amazing job on these and I just love the painting. So much fun to be there with you and Denise. Nancy was the best!

  3. Beautiful. Although you may not think they are warm enough, you capture the reflections in the glass and the different values in the roses beautifully. I was fortunate enough to meet Kathy Cousart in a workshop in February. She is well on her way to becoming a very fine artist and she is obviously keeping very good company! Like Denise Rose said - paintings look different and that is cool - that is what I absolutely love about painting, the fact we can all be given the same subject and every single painting will be different. So human. Very nice work.
