There's just something about limes. Perhaps it is their intense green color on the outside, their funky shape, and their cool, juicy, limey green pulp inside. What would some of our most tasty food be without lime juice? Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

I am constantly amazed by the endless variation and colors of fruit. It is no wonder that many of earth's creatures are attracted by the vivid colors of nature. What a palette! Limes have such rich green hues and I find them great fun and challenging to paint! In this still life painting, a lime finds its way to a regal position atop an egg cup.
