"Yellow Rose" by J Joy Nocifora ©2011
11 x 4" oil on board
$99.00 (unframed)
I gave my daughter a mixed bouquet of flowers when she arrived at the airport for a recent visit. In the bunch, there was one yellow rose and although it was almost beyond its time, it kept calling me to paint it. Now, don't ask me why it was calling me because I find painting roses very challenging and most of the time, I just avoid trying to paint them.
Well... of course... it is the challenge that calls me to paint the rose!! '-)

Oh, Judy this rose is lovely . . . delicate and soft. I really like the simplicity of it. And what a nice story, meeting your daughter with a bouquet of flowers!
