"Best Pals" by J Joy Nocifora ©2011
6x6" oil on linen panel (unframed)
Some paintings just seem to evoke such a strong emotional response. This one does for me. A beautiful young girl and her dad are spending some quiet time together adrift on the river. Of course the other pal that completes the friendship is their cherished dog, who doesn't want to be left behind.
I like this one! Love the colors. Love the dad's hand trailing in the water. The bright red on the side of the canoe too.
ReplyDeleteLovely- the oar in the water with the splash is the moment for me along with the hand. Love the dog keeping up with "his people"! Wonderful warm emotion from this one for sure!
ReplyDeleteI agree....very nice touches

ReplyDeleteThis painting evokes tender emotions. Lovely, soft colors . . . and your placement of the dog is precious. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteGreat feelings behind this piece. Love the dog.
ReplyDeleteYou captured a warm afternoon feeling in this one. Makes me wish I were there.
ReplyDeleteThe neutralized water really make your figures and boat sparkle.
