Strolling Taormina

"Strolling Taormina" by J Joy Nocifora ©2010
18 x 15" (framed) oil on linen canvas panel

This painting is available at:

I find that one's voyages become continual pleasures long after they are over. Perhaps that is particularly true of the artist who rewinds the images of exquisite sights onto canvas. My visit to the island of Sicily was filled with abounding beauty. In this painting, "Strolling Taormina," I revisited one of Sicily's most lovely towns, Taormina. Its winding, narrow, streets and ancient structures sit high above the deep cerulean blue, Mediterranean waters.

"Limones on Sicilian Pottery" SOLD

6" x 6" oil on linen on panel

There are groves of lemon trees everywhere in Sicily. Some of these lemons are as big as grapefruits! One of the products from these lemons that I enjoyed was a liqueur, "Limoncello." It is served ice cold and it is quite yummy! Sicilian pottery is distinct and each style and color depends on the area where the pottery is produced. This painting is one influenced by my recent visit to the beautiful island of Sicily. Bella!

"Flowers of Sicily 1" SOLD

5" x 7" oil on linen canvas on panel

On my recent visit to the island of Sicily, I enjoyed the beautiful flowers that grew everywhere. On the hillsides, along the narrow streets, stairways, etc. A sight to behold for sure!
