Whenever I have fruit that is past its time and before I toss it out, I question, "can I get this fruit painted before it is completely past its time?" This was a quick study for sure because the orange slices and the strawberry were on their way out.

Wonderful fun painting. I really like the value shifts and the transparency you got with the orange. Strawberries are beautiful- love them on that dainty plate. Great idea to use fruit up for a good cause!
