Oil Painting Classes with Judy Nocifora Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, 15 - 1:00-4:30 p.m

Exciting plans are in store for May oil painting classes at Memphis Botanic Garden. This is a fun, relaxed class with demos and lots of individual attention. Register early to receive an email with details at least one week prior to class. This will give you time to gather any additional materials and think about the focus of the class.
Class size is limited.

All levels welcome. Acrylic painters also welcome, but instruction will be in oils. Professional artist oil paint and medium are provided for this class. Call Laurie at 901-636-4128 for more information, supply list, or to register. Prepayment due by May 11th. $90 MBG members ($110 non-members).

Join in the fun, loosen up, and learn to paint expressively in a casual, stress free environment. The goal of this class is to help the beginner get a good start in painting with oils and, for the experienced painter, to take their work to the next level.  All levels welcome. Acrylic painters also welcome, but instruction will be in oils.

This class will dig deep into understanding color in painting. Painters will explore the ways in which hue, value, and chroma are used to achieve a convincing illusion of light and depth in their paintings. You will learn what your palette is capable of describing and then apply it by painting several paintings. This will be a fun filled class and you will take away much that you can use in your painting journey. Supply list provided. All levels welcome. 

This class is limited to 8 participants.

Instructor Judy Nocifora is an award winning artist, whose work has been juried in local and regional exhibitions. She has traveled and studied with some of the top contemporary Master Artists.
