Greetings Everyone!
So far this year, my little corner of the art world continues to be funfilled and a busy one. Painting classes and workshops are especially rewarding for me because of all the fine people who participate in these classes and workshops at Memphis Botanic Garden. A big thank you to all for always brightening my day with your presence.
Classes and Workshops
The current workshop, Landscapes and Seascapes ends this Friday, July 21st. Where did the time go? We are having too much fun to stop! A great group of painters have explored the elements of composition… editing and cropping photos, simplification, thumbnail sketches, value scale to color and paint application. Their work has been amazing!
Ongoing 9-Noon Thursday or Saturday, six-week session began on June 29/July1 and ends on Thursday/Saturday, August 3/5. There will be a two week break and the next six-week session begins on Thursday/Saturday, August 24/26.
During this break I look forward to a few days in the mountains with painter friends. Sure hoping we don't see a bear while we are out plein air painting! This photo was posted on Facebook a few days ago by a friend. A large, furry bear visited her dinner picnic in the area where we are going.
Yikes!
My next once-a-month weekend class is Saturday, August 5 and Sunday August 6, 1-4:30 p.m.
There will be no “Workshop” in August, but an exciting one is scheduled for September! This workshop has been requested by a number of my current students. Watch your email for more information about this four session workshop, Hue’ Knew?
